Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 7 November 2026

These terms apply to work done by The Coder SA (“we”, “us”) for our clients (“you”). We also set them out in your written quote and agreement.

1. Quotes and agreement

Every project starts with a written quote and agreement that lists what is included and the price. Work begins once you have signed the agreement and paid the first instalment.

2. Payment

Payment is by EFT. We charge 50% upfront and 50% on completion. Our banking details are on the quotation we send after you sign the agreement. [Add payment due days and late payment terms.]

3. Hosting and accounts

You choose your hosting provider and email package. We set up the account with you, and you pay the provider directly, usually by debit order. The account stays in your name and you keep full access to it. We aren’t responsible for the provider’s pricing, service or downtime.

4. Your content

You’re responsible for making sure the text, images, logos and other material you give us are yours to use.

5. Timelines and changes

We agree a timeline in writing. Delays in getting content or feedback from you can move the date. [Add how many rounds of changes are included, and how extra changes are charged.]

6. Ownership

State when ownership of the finished website passes to you, for example on full payment, and what we keep, such as third-party themes and plugins that carry their own licences.

7. Support and monthly plans

After launch you can contact us and pay separately for changes and services, or choose a monthly plan. Monthly plans run month to month with no lock-in.

8. No guaranteed results

We build websites and optimise them for Google, Maps and AI assistants, but we can’t promise rankings, traffic or sales. Results depend on many things outside our control, including your market, your competition and how search engines and AI assistants change.

9. Our work as a portfolio piece

We may show your website, screenshots and feedback in our portfolio and marketing unless you tell us in writing not to.

10. Limit of liability

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
